Curriculum Vitae

Jonathan H. Yu, Ph.D

I love finding solutions to tough problems using a multi-disciplinary approach. Some of my specialties are plasma physics, fusion energy, plasma-material interactions, machine learning, coding, lasers, optics, imaging, optical spectroscopy, material science, computational physics, photography, and riding waves (of course!). I find the best results come from striking a balance between big-picture thinking, attention to detail, and risk taking.

My core skills include critical and creative thinking, problem solving, interpersonal skills, Python programming, physics simulations, data analysis, data modeling, data visualization, communication, and collaboration.
